This album kicks off ‘THE SIN’ series, diving deep into a sin-themed narrative. Imagine a world where humans and vampires coexist, and our boys tell the epic tale of lovers breaking taboos and making a run for love. It’s giving dark academia, but make it vampire romance!
🔪 ‘Knife’: The Title Track That’s Gonna Cut Deep!
The title track, ‘Knife’, is a whole vibe! ENHYPEN prepared this one with intense determination, and you can feel it. It’s a hip-hop banger with a dark atmosphere and a hard-hitting trap beat that’s just chef’s kiss. It encapsulates the lovers’ confidence to face any threat and ENHYPEN’s raw, powerful energy. Plus, Gaeko from Dynamic Duo joining the lyricist team? Slay!
The ‘Performance Kings’ are back, baby! Their ‘Knife’ challenge pre-release video already dropped, showing off their flawless, synchronized choreo that’s just next level. 📖 ‘THE SIN: VANISH’: An Immersive Concept Album
‘THE SIN : VANISH’ isn’t just a collection of songs; it’s a whole immersive experience. This is a high-concept album where every track’s narrative, lyrics, and sound are interconnected. ENHYPEN totally pulled out all the stops, structuring the album like an investigative journalism program called ‘Mystery Show’. It features six tracks, four narrations, and one skit, all meticulously arranged to follow the vampire lovers’ journey – from their decision to flee to the complex emotions they face at the end.
The lineup of top-tier artists for this project is no joke! Actor Park Jung-min lends his voice as the ‘Mystery Show’ host for the four narration tracks, anchoring the album’s narrative. And get this: these narrations are in Korean, English, Japanese, AND Chinese to deliver those deep emotions globally! Gaeko also penned lyrics for the B-side ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’, and So!YoON! (Hwang So-yoon) slays with her unique vocals on ‘No Way Back (Feat. So!YoON!)’.
Our members also shone bright with their contributions! Jake dropped his first-ever self-composed track, ‘Sleep Tight’, and even participated in producing the narration track ‘The Genesis of the Incident’. ‘Sleep Tight’ beautifully captures the bittersweet feelings of happiness and anxiety during a brief respite, and the apology and guilt towards the partner who joined them on their tough journey. Heeseung also flexed his writing skills by contributing to some of the lyrics for this track. ENHYPEN truly outdid themselves! ENGENE, are we ready to stan even harder?!
